No Dial Tone Present When Attempting to Dial
- Verify that the telephone cord coming from the jack located on the wall is plugged into the jack on the modem labeled line, wall or input.
- Verify that telephone cord is plugged in tighly in wall jack and computer modem
- If they both ends are securely plugged in, but it is still not working, try plugging in a telephone into the jack to see if dial-tone is present.
- If dial-tone is present with a telephone, there may be a problem with the computer's modem.
